She will fail and the story will have no resolution and no ending! Yeah right. Why even ask? Does the author think we're stupid? Or is it the publisher? Or just the idiot who wrote the book blurb? Any which way I don't want a novel that advertizes itself with the bald (and I have to say utterly inaccurate) assumption that I'm a dumb-ass.
